About Us
Alaire Dance Studio was established in 1997 by principals Alyce Arthur and Claire Travers. Alyce and Claire are fully qualified dance teachers with the Teachers of Australia Academy of Dance (TAAD). Both Claire and Alyce individually had over 10 years teaching experience prior to opening Alaire Dance Studio. They now each have over 25 years teaching practice. When you come to Alaire Dance Studio you can be assured that you will receive qualified professional tuition. Our classes combine; warm-up, technique and skill building, examination work, choreography and performance training. Students generally participate in examinations once a year. Alyce and Claire believe these provide students a focus for improvement and a sense of achievement. Our students mark and perform very well in examinations.
Alaire Dance Studio operates out of Lilydale Senior Citizens Hall in Lilydale, Victoria. Classes offered cover Creative Movement (for Pre-Kinder and Kinder age groups) Jazz Ballet, Contemporary, Theatrical/Cabaret, Tap, Hip Hop and Funk. Why not look at the class schedule page there is sure to be a class that you want to try out. Overall the focus at Alaire is on dancing for enjoyment. Its all about bringing the best out in their students by providing achievable yet challenging curriculum. Alyce and Claire like to inspire, excite and foster the love of dance, they personally hold, in their students. Alaire Dance Studio’s annual concert (November) is something all students participate in, look forward to and really enjoy. The annual concert is performed for friends and family in a professional venue for the full theatrical experience. It is an opportunity for students to share their year's achievements in dance and creates lasting memories to cherish.
